ABOUT US

Five guides, one mountain.

Dowlomites was born on the trails of the Dolomites from the idea of a group of friends: to bring people to the mountains the way you'd welcome a guest into your own home.

OUR STORY

FROM A PASSION TO A PROFESSION

Five different people, one single place. We arrived in the Dolomites at different times and by different paths — some born here, some who came back, some who chose to stay. Each with their own training, their own specialty, their own way of being in the mountains. But with one thing in common: these mountains aren't a destination. They're home.

Today we organize excursions and multi-day treks for those who want to truly experience them, with small groups, carefully chosen itineraries, and the right amount of time to take it all in. We guide those climbing for the first time and those seeking something out of the ordinary. Because we believe the mountains belong to everyone, and that bringing someone here means sharing a place, not just selling a service.

HOW WE WORK

OUR VALUES

01

Safety
always

Small groups, verified routes, proper equipment. The mountains are only truly enjoyed when faced with peace of mind.

02

No one
gets left behind

We adjust the pace and route to the real group, not the ideal one. Both first-timers and experienced hikers find their rhythm.

03

Know it
to respect it

Geology, flora, fauna, and the history of these places: every excursion is also a way to truly understand what the Dolomites are: a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The team

Five guides, one mountain.

Five different ways to love the mountains.

Simone Brogioni
International Mountain Leader

Even the most classic trails in the Dolomites hide lesser-known stories and still-unexplored corners, which we'll discover together on our excursions.

Born in Florence, I live in Auronzo di Cadore, at the foot of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, a place that continues to fuel my passion for the mountains every day.

In 2007 I founded the Lavaredo Ultra Trail, today one of the most iconic events in the world of trail running, through which I've had the privilege of welcoming thousands of runners from all over the world, sharing with them the authentic beauty of these mountains.

Natascia Pivetta
Hiking Guide

I want to show you this land for what it truly is: an authentic place, to be experienced with respect and care. I'll take you to places that can still surprise you, even far from the more well-known trails.

The Dolomites and Auronzo di Cadore are my favorite place in the world. My grandparents used to vacation here, then the whole family followed. Here I learned respect for the mountains, for the stories they hold, and for the people who live among them.

It was the place I always tried to return to whenever I could — my true home. For years I worked in marketing and communications, traveling between projects and consulting jobs around the world.

In 2020 I chose to settle here, turning that dream into reality: now I live in Auronzo di Cadore, at the foot of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, which I see every morning.

Alain Olivier
International Mountain Leader

Guiding people in the mountains is, for me, the chance to live out and share my passion, celebrating a land I truly love and one that deserves to be known and respected.

I was born and raised in Belluno, at the gateway to the Dolomites. My passion for the mountains came relatively late, but it has never left me since. It has shaped me deeply, changing the way I live and think — making it simpler, more essential, more focused on the pursuit of experience and less tied to material things.

That's why I decided to leave a stable job that didn't truly belong to me, and set out on the path of becoming a Mid-Mountain Hiking Guide.

Alessandro Meridio
International Mountain Leader

Born and raised in the province of Vicenza, at the foot of the Piccole Dolomiti, a passion for the mountains and nature has always been part of my life. I graduated in Natural Sciences in 2023, with a particular interest in geological history and alpine ecology. After years of experience working in a high-altitude mountain hut, I now guide hikers on trails ranging from Mediterranean islands to the Alps, with special attention to the Dolomites.

Alessandro Bologna
International Mountain Leader

Born in Ferrara, I live in Pieve di Cadore, where I chose to move to follow my greatest passion: the mountains. I love them in every form — mountain biking, hiking, trail running. I've also always been fascinated by the physiological side of physical activity, which is why I earned a degree in Sports Science.

I'm an AIS and Alma certified sommelier.
